The Pictured Example: This building is a purpose built 30ft by 22ft garden house made from two 30ft by 11ft modules. The final building was fully plumbed and electrified and featured two en-suite bathrooms as well as an open plan kitchen and sitting room.
This building cost around £30,000 including delivery.
Fully Bespoke: We can build your perfect garden room to your precise specifications - we are specialists in starting with the strength and weather tight structure of one or more shipping containers to quickly craft anything from a simple workshop, to a garden office, to a residential annexe or even a multi-bedroom home. Starting with an inherently strong structure means we can build your space quickly and it will last - and at a very competitive price.
All our buildings can be fully insulated and clad or painted in your chosen finish to create a practical and beautiful space that will look great in any garden.
You can even choose to buy just a shell to use for storage, with double glazed windows and doors so you can make it into your dream space yourself, or you can tell us your budget and your vision and we will do all the work and build your fully finished, dream space for you.
We can build your finished space for you, we can deliver so you can complete it yourself or use your own choice of local contractor.
If you want something a little different and prefer not to start with a container, we also fabricate steel structures from scratch. A steel fabrication + floor + choice of paint colour is the minimum we deliver should you want to fit out your space yourself. It gives you complete flexibility and control over your space.
Our products can be simple or completely bespoke! Whether you want it as a garden office, a kitchen or bar room, or an external annex, Containers & More can make your vision a reality. There are no restrictions on materials: you can specify your choice of doors, windows, floor finish and fit out, number, position and size of windows and doors.
The only restriction on size is that your room needs to be transportable - so any size up to 50ft by 13ft if based upon a single container unit. If you need more space you can go beyond this by combining several containers or pre-fabricated steel structures together.
All we need from you is a budget, an idea, good access for a lorry (if not a crane can be used) and a firm base to place the unit upon. If the module is for a house extension we suggest you have a builder/ main contractor on site.
Finance: We are currently offering finance on all Containers & More products, please get in touch to find out more.
The Process: Idea: Please contact us to discuss your idea. It is likely that we have done something similar. If you have specifications, a rough sketch or any photos please email those too to get us started. Quote: We aim to quote promptly and with straightforward jobs this can be done within a couple of days. More complicated jobs will take longer and we will ask for detailed drawings from you with an order if needed. Photos: We will email photos of your completed container conversion before delivery and at each stage from placement of order to keep you updated with progress. Colour: Any RAL colour or colours or your choice of natural or painted / stained cladding.
The prices will of course vary for what you would like. Please get in touch to discuss the size and specification of your idea, and we will give you a rough quote.
In the UK, container homes often do not require planning permission as they are not considered to be permanent.
However, a container home can’t be considered as a temporary structure if you are choosing to live in the home for a prolonged period.
You should also be aware that the rules vary in different parts of the country. For instance, Listed Buildings and National Parks often require planning permission, regardless of the type of building, the structure, or the intended use.
For that reason, you should always contact your local planning authority (LPA) to check whether your particular location requires planning permission.

Delivery and Offloading cost (completed by lorry and lorry mounted crane) included in the price for most of the North West, the Midlands and the Home Counties.
Please contact us for a delivery quote if you are outside these areas. We can delivery all over the UK but the prices will vary depending on your location.
The basic unit (pre-fabricated container / frame) comes already constructed and just needs a plot to place it on. External painting and most internal partitioning and insulation can also be done prior to delivery whilst final internal fittings and external cladding work is normally completed on site.
Please contact us for more information about installation.
The Container Conversion is delivered pre fabricated, and so requires offloading from a lorry mounted crane. Suitable access is needed for the lorry to get next to the site where the office is needed.
The lorry needs to be able to drive up to be parallel with the final location so the container can be lifted into place with lorry mounted crane. The lorry is approx 35ft long and 10ft wide.
NOTE: All buildings come fully fabricated as a complete building to be lifted into place. They cannot come flat packed.
