When looking for a Garden Office or Garden Room, the majority of garden building suppliers offer timber cladding for the exterior of the building, normally in either Cedar or Redwood. Our composite wooden buildings are made from a unique homogenous wood polymer construction that maintains is performance for years and years without the need for time-consuming maintenance and painting.

We have rigorously tested, researched and designed our products to ensure that we can provide you with a product that truly combines the best of traditional timber looks utilising modern materials and techniques.

Our Garden Rooms are made up of a unique blend of recycled materials

60% traceable recycled wood from timber mills and 40% recycled plastic polymers which provides excellent insulation, weather resistance and security, whilst being virtually no maintenance. In most cases, you will no need planning permission to build a composite garden building

Most garden buildings under 2.5M high do not need ‘planning permission’

Garden Rooms are considered to be ‘Permitted Development’ and do NOT require Planning Permission if:

• The building is to be placed less than 2.0m from the boundary of the property the maximum overall height should not exceed 2.5m from existing ground level

• It has an internal floor area of less than 30m2

If you do comply with the above criteria, garden buildings up to an internal floor area of 30 square metres are generally exempt from planning and building regulations (Except when the structure is to be used for sleeping accommodation)

However, you would need to apply for planning permission if:

• Your Garden Building stands forward of the principal elevation of your house, fronting the highway

• Your Garden Building along with other buildings and additions, occupy more than half the area of land around the original house? (When it was first built or as it stood on 1st July 1948)

• Your Garden Room is erected on land designated as a National Park, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Conservation Area, World Heritage Site or similar

• Your Garden Building be located within the curtilage of a listed building

• Your Garden Building is over 30m2 in size

Free delivery and installation within 70-mile radius of NN14 3LB. A delivery charge may be applied outside this region.

A 50% deposit is required when placing your order for us to begin production of your garden room. Delivery is normally within 4–6 weeks of placing your order and the remaining balance is due once the installation of your garden room is complete.

It's all about the base...

A level foundation ensures your garden room is level too.

Our treated timber bases are designed to withstand the structure of your garden building no matter what the usage. They're ideal for uneven/sloping gardens too! Our heavy-duty timber platforms are installed using steel reinforced concrete posts and post mix, ensuring each post is secure, durable and your base is anchored and solid. The timber base is designed to withstand the elements; the platform is slightly raised above ground level to minimise contact and weathering.

Alternatively, our rooms can be installed on a concrete slab. The slab should be built to the external room size (excluding any decking/steps etc) or within 25mm of these dimensions. Please call the office on 01832 776005 prior to arranging a concrete foundation.
